The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus feature a very much appreciated Play Music App library. However, there might come a time when you want to clean up the library by getting rid of unwanted songs.
Fortunately, there are two easy ways of deleting songs depending on where you stored the songs in the first place. You may have saved the songs in the Play Music App’s library or in the smartphone directly.
Method 1 – Deleting Songs from Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus
If you stored the music in your smartphone directly, all you have to do in order to delete them is go to the location of the particular songs or the album that you would like to remove from your phone. Select the specific songs and click on the menu icon. You will see a list of options with the option to Delete, click on this option. Confirm by clicking Ok. This should remove the songs or album completely from your Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus.
Method 2 – Deleting Songs Stored in the Music Play library
You may have attempted to delete a song from your smartphone but then realized there is no option to do so from the menu. This should imply that the song is stored in the library which you can access via Google Play Music.
For you to delete the song, log into your Google Play account and go to the Music Library. From here, identify the sing you would like to delete and click on the Menu icon. Here you should be able to see the option to delete the song. Tap on the delete option to confirm your action. You can now refresh your music selection after cleaning your Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus smartphone.
